Notre Dame de Paris and the River Seine

We are back to Paris today with many more places to show you and more interesting facts to share. Explore Paris with us.

We will guide through the region where the city of lights emerged centuries ago. L'ile de la Cité  is the birth place of Paris in the middle of the River Seine. This area is where Notre dame de Paris proudly stands. The Latin Quartier is another place of interest there. Let the tour begin.

Depending on where you intend to spend the night in Paris, you have different options how to get to the left side of the River Seine. If you are at Hotel Paris la Defense you have easy access to the metro or the bateau-bus - a good boat trip to all the tourist destinations along the river.

But wherever you are, start the journey early in the morning and take your time. You do not have to be in a rush, the metro is a very practical way to get around. Get the metro to the Cité station. This is the exact place of the ancient city of Paris, formally a Roman administration centre. There you will find the grandiose Conciergerie building housing the French Police and the Palace of Justice.
If you start your journey from Hotel Paris Arc de Triomphe, it is more conveniet to get directly to Sainte Chapelle, just behind the Conciergerie building. The chapel is a real architectural masterpiece with its picturesque stained glass - "vitrages".
Now that you are here enjoy it fully. We will leave you to contemplate undisturbed the beauties surrounding you.
