Paris: Centre Pompidou

Centre Pompidou is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Paris. Believe it or not, it attracts more visitors than the Louvre – twice as much. The French love it, and they call it with the lovely name “Beaubourg” - the beautiful town. It is a cultural centre and if you happen to be in Paris do not miss it.

After a breakfast in Hotel Paris la Defense you can proceed to the nearest metro station and go to station Rambuteau. You will easily spot Centre National D’Art et de Culture Georges Pompidou. Remember that it is closed on Tuesday and opens relatively late at 11h.
The strange building cannot be mistaken. Some call it a reverse architecture, because it looks as if all tube systems are outside instead of being concealed underneath it. Foreigners know it as the pipe building. However, if it weren’t for its eccentricity it would not have become that popular. The French enjoy admiring art exhibitions Centre Pompidou houses.

It is the most unusual Paris museum. You do not enter a serious museum where you should keep silence as if to pay respect to it. Pompidou is a place to rest, to feast your eyes on modern art and entertain yourself. You will never see such a bizarre place as this.
What is best than a day spent in Centre Georges Pompidou among its corridors, libraries, cafes etc. The most suitable end for such a day is dinner in Hotel Paris Arc de Triomphe in its lavish gardens.
Make your trip in Paris an unforgettable experience. You deserve it.
