London and its Symbols

If you haven't been to London at least once in your life, then you have a lot to catch up. Because this is the most interesting city in Europe and also the most visited one in the world. The largest urban zone in the European Union is full of beautiful buildings, historical places and luxury London hotels.

There are many interesting sites to see in the capital of England as one of its symbols is the Big Ben. This is the name of the clock tower located at the north end of the Palace of Westminster. The tower was built in 1859 and the clock started working on 31 of May. It is 93.3 metres high and there is no lift. Big Ben is not usually open for the public however there are arranged tours by the English residents. If you decide to take part in one of those tours, you must be ready to climb the 334 stairs to the top of the tower.

Of course, this is not the only landmark that is worth to see. The Tower of London, the Tower Bridge and the London Eye are also some of the symbols of the city. Make a reservation in one of the greatest Waldorf hotel and enjoy a wonderful vacation in the busiest city in Europe.
