The Ancient Roman Forum

Winter time is the best period to visit Europe. If you are tired of the past holidays, now is the perfect moment to make a reservation in the luxurious Waldorf Roma. This is the place where you can enjoy both hospitality and great service.

Rome is the third most visited city on the old continent. It attracts million of people each year with its many different and unique historical buildings. One of the most extraordinary constructions is the Roman Forum. It is located in the centre of the city and it's also known just as the Forum. In ancient times the construction was used mainly for public triumphal processions, elections or speeches.
The Roman Forum is situated between the Palatine and Capitoline Hills but unfortunately nowadays it appears to be only architectural fragments. The history for the beginning of the construction is very interesting. It is said that the Forum was made after the alliance between king Romulus and Titus Tatius. The first one was controlling the Palatine Hills and the second one – Capitoline Hills.

Today there is a Forum Museum near the Colosseum you can visit wherever you want. The site is open for foot traffic all the time and it definitely must be seen. Do not hesitate but book a room in the wonderful Roma Hotel Waldorf. Enjoy the best vacation ever.
