Why Austria Is A Fantastic Holiday Destination

I would undoubtedly recommend that you visit the country of Austria for your holidays because I do so frequently and always have an amazing time there. The reason that I am such a frequent visitor is because my sister-in-law’s company owns a chain of hotels that has numerous establishments in the country and so I consequently visit regularly.

They have a number of hotels in Vienna and you should unquestionably take a trip to the capital city of Vienna as this city has an exceptionally rich cultural history – the fact that it was the birth place of Beethoven, Scharzenegger, Strauss and Freud pays testament to this truth and you can spend hours exploring the buildings in which their world-renowned talents were developed. Arnold Schwarzenegger in particular is held in remarkably high regard by the majority of Austrians and there are numerous attractions based on the former body-builder including a museum and numerous statues. But Austrian love for the current governor of California is certainly matched and perhaps surpassed by their adoration for Sigmund Freud, the grandfather of the field of psychology and psychoanalytics. There are also numerous museums and statues of the great-grandfather of the famous painter that died last year, Lucian Freud, and his former clinic is also now a tourist attraction.

       

Another great reason to visit Austria is for the winter sports. I am a snowboarding fanatic and so frequently head to the town of Innsbruck in the Alps to enjoy the mountain range’s pistes and slopes. If you are looking for a budget hotel Innsbruck might not be the best place for you to head as most of the establishments are rather luxurious – I only always go there because my sister-in-law’s company also have a hotel there, which has a Jacuzzi in all of the premium rooms as well as spectacular views of the mountains.
