When you go to Rome, do not miss to visit St. Peter's Basilica, where you can hear the message of the Pope every Sunday. Together with the square in front of it, this is amazing place to see.

Portugal, or Rome, or both!

The biggest problem for all tourists is to make the right choice where to go and of course when. The Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, but Italy as a whole is much more interesting than this.  All the Piazza-s and Pizzas, taste the original spaghetti and macaroni. Feel the Roman spirit and see all the art masterpieces scattered everywhere.

So If I was to choose only one place out of this two, I would probably wait for them moment when I would be able to visit both. What about you?

We all have heard a lot about both cities. But let's consider what which can offer you. In order to be able to make up your mind on whether to visit the City of Light or the Eternal city let's compare them on few points.

I cannot make my mind up to this point because all places in France and in Italy are worth visiting.

Rome is the place where Michealangelo created many of his masterpieces. The Sistine Chapel is the best location for art lovers to explore the beauty of Michealangelo's wall-paintings. The famous Creation of Adam can be found there. Paris has the Louvre - one of the biggest art museums in the world. The collection includes Da Vinci's Mona Lisa. The Italian Painter's master piece is exposed there. But if you have never heard of Montmartre, this is the major gathering point of all artists in Paris. if you are one yourself grab your pencil and externalize the moment.

 

Accommodation:

Some of the best hotels are both in Rome and Paris. The large tourist traffic made hotel business there very successful. As far as hotels near the tourist sites are concerned Hotel Paris Arc de Triomphe is on the most preferred accommodations. If you want to have a restful and rewarding stay Rome Hilton hotel is the best place for you. My recommendation is based on my friends' personal opinion and many forum polls.

Where to Go in Paris?

Paris is a busy metropolitan city. But that is why it is rife with life and people. Sometimes, it is hard to move around the city, but all means of public transport are working properly, but be careful these days, strikes are possible to block the traffic.

Apart from all this, you can always find a peaceful place to sit down and relax. One such place is Jardin des Plantes, a green garden easily accessible with the popular bateau bus. 

Upon arrival you can catch a metro from the nearest metro station. Me, for example, I was bound to go to Hotel Paris la Defense, but I didn't really know where it was. But a took a long walk, fortunately I didn't have much luggage.

So starting from Place de Concorde, I went all the way down to the Triumphal arch. I saw there the Hotel Paris Arc de Triomphe and there were kind and showed me the way to my hotel.

I realised that my hotel was in the very centre of the city. Hotel La Defense is near the famous Quadrangle with the eyes inside, called the Centre of Modern Technology and Industry. It is strange but classy.

So, as far as I was able to explore Paris, Notre Dame was so grandiose. It is worth seeing, while recollecting the story told by Victor Hugo.

All most important places to visit in Paris are located along the River Seine. So just go along the canal and explore all the beauties.
