3 Must See Museums in London

London is a cosmopolitan and multicultural city with very rich history, which dates back in time to Roman occupation of Britain. As such, London keeps a lot of memories from the past in museums, which are more than 240 in Britain's capital.

As speaking of museums in London we cannot miss the Natural History Museum. It is one of three large museums, located on Exhibition Road, South Kensington in London. There are more than 70 million items in the Natural History Museum, which are divided into five main collections: Botany, Mineralogy, Entomology, Zoology and Palaeontology. The Palaeontology collection is what the museum is most famous about, as it shows an exhibition of dinosaur skeletons.

The second museum I am going to suggest to you is one of the other two major museums on Exhibition Road, South Kensington. It is the Science Museum, which is part of the National Museum of Science and Industry. Founded in 1857, the Science Museum houses a collection of over 300 000 items, amongst which you can see the Stephenson's Rocket, Puffing Billy, the first jet engine and many more.

And my last suggestion is the National Gallery. Founded in 1824, the gallery houses a collection of over 2,300 paintings, some of which date from the mid-13th century. The collection of the gallery belongs to the public of the United Kingdom and there is no entrance fee.

Located in the centre of London these famous attractions are very easily reachable using public transport. You do not have to bother for the accommodation either, because no matter if you stay in a Park Lane hotel or in a Gatwick airport hotel, you will be satisfied of the offered to you services.
