We have all heard of Count Dracula. He is a fictional character, of course. But the inspiration for his creation came from a real person, the Wallachian Prince Vlad III the Impaler, who was Romanian. That is why everybody connects vampires with Romania today.
Probably that is why Bram Stoker received inspiration from this country, because it is mysterious. The Carpathians, the neoclassical architecture, the old castles, the rainy in the mountain weather, these things create the perfect atmosphere for the home of someone as dark as Count Dracula.Today this mystery is being used for attracting tourists and earning money. Millions of people come to Romania every year to see the home of the cruel Count. Of course this is not the only interesting place in Romania.
