According to me, January is the right time for a vacation with the one you love and one of the best places for that is Italy and its romantic cities. The country located in the south-central part of the continent is the sixth most populated in Europe. There are many interesting historical places you must visit in Italy and definitely many luxurious Rome hotels as well.

The capital of the country is a place which grabs your attention right away. Except the great amount of landmarks, there is one more place to visit and this is the Vatican city. It is a landlocked sovereign city-state, which has population of approximately 800 and it's ruled by the Pope. The sites in Rome are amongst the most visited tourist destinations. Of course Venice is even more romantic city located in northern Italy. It is mostly famous as the city of art, stretched across 117 small islands. The city is crossed by 177 water canals which serve as roads. Most local people travel by motorized vehicles and rarely using gondolas. There are also many water taxis you can take between the different areas of the city and the most amazing fact is that Venice is still the only urban place, where you can't see any trucks.
