The Magical City of Rome

Rome, the capital of Italy, is also a cultural European capital. Crowds gather in front of the famous Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Sistine Chapel and all other tourist attractions. But is it all about the monuments?! I have another idea of a trip to Rome.

Visiting all these famous destinations is one of the best aspects of the travelling itself. But just think of all the crowds and nervous people pushing their way in and out. You'd better pick a not so busy time to go there, the winter is perfect, as the big tourist flow is in the summer.
A more pleasurable tour or Rome would rather be walking around the city at sunset, when the Eternal city is under the moonlight. Take a trip to the Colosseum now, it is much better, isn't it?

You can just book a room in some of the Rome hotels and simply relax gazing at the panoramic view. Enjoy sleeping in the lavishly decorated old-style rooms. Gorgeous place for a romantic holiday.

So remember to do these things while you are in Rome. Taste the real cappuccino and order a genuine pizza Margarita. Meet some Italians. They are cheerful and open-minded people, eager to communicate. They would show you around, and are a good company.

Choose carefully the place to stay, you should make a good memory of this trip. Pick an affordable Hotel Cavalieri or a hostel. It is up to you. But make sure you have the time of your life.

Portugal, or Rome, or both!

The biggest problem for all tourists is to make the right choice where to go and of course when. It is not recommended to go to the mountains in the winter as it is not recommended to visit London in the fall. So you should pick the right time as well. Most of us plan their trips for the holidays, and the longest are the Christmas holidays. But it is snowing or at least raining. 

If you do not have the pleasure to enjoy a long summer vacation, then as you cannot predict the weather at least choose the best place for your winter holidays. Cold is omnipresent but if you go south it is highly probable to visit a mild temperature location. Both Rome and Portugal can offer you warm weather almost all year long. The beaches are not suitable for sunbathing but why not take a long walk along the coast. you can manage to get a hotel with a perfect view like Vilamoura Hilton in Portugal or Roma Hotel Waldorf. 

But a good panoramic view is not enough. You should pay all tourist sights a tribute and dedicate at least an hour to each. Seeing it all is possible but do not be in a rush, just to have a quick look and then leave. Take your time.

Portugal is a beautiful place, as much as Italy. You can witness there the multicultural influence of the old times. As Lisbon used to be the centre of sea trade, so there are many historical artefacts worth your attention.

Rome is famous worldwide. So I can only tell you what you already know. The Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, but Italy as a whole is much more interesting than this.  All the Piazza-s and Pizzas, taste the original spaghetti and macaroni. Feel the Roman spirit and see all the art masterpieces scattered everywhere.

So If I was to choose only one place out of this two, I would probably wait for them moment when I would be able to visit both. What about you?

Paris or Rome

We all have heard a lot about both cities. But let's consider what which can offer you. In order to be able to make up your mind on whether to visit the City of Light or the Eternal city let's compare them on few points.

Tourist Sights:

Paris is may be more popular with the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Triumphal Arch, Champs Elysées and Notre Dame. But Rome stands proudly with its Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, the Sistine Chapel and of course, the Vatican. I cannot make my mind up to this point because all places in France and in Italy are worth visiting. 

 

Art:

Rome is the place where Michealangelo created many of his masterpieces. The Sistine Chapel is the best location for art lovers to explore the beauty of Michealangelo's wall-paintings. The famous Creation of Adam can be found there. Paris has the Louvre - one of the biggest art museums in the world. The collection includes Da Vinci's Mona Lisa. The Italian Painter's master piece is exposed there. But if you have never heard of Montmartre, this is the major gathering point of all artists in Paris. if you are one yourself grab your pencil and externalize the moment.

 

Accommodation:

Some of the best hotels are both in Rome and Paris. The large tourist traffic made hotel business there very successful. As far as hotels near the tourist sites are concerned Hotel Paris Arc de Triomphe is on the most preferred accommodations. If you want to have a restful and rewarding stay Rome Hilton hotel is the best place for you. My recommendation is based on my friends' personal opinion and many forum polls.

So wherever you choose to go, have a good time and make a holiday to remember.
